In class we will watch a portion of this video: A documentary by Brett Gaylor about Copyright and Remix Culture. I have a feeling many of you will want to watch the complete film so here it is:
Erika Brown and Jen Vandermeer http://www.flickr.com/photos/75326502@N08/6983085365/in/photostream We chose Attribution Non-Commercial Share Alike Creative Commons
Carmen Dam Evelyn Long Yee Cheng Chau Chin Yo Used Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs Creative Commons license. http://www.flickr.com/photos/75181561@N03/6836980178/
I chose the general CC Attribution license because I don't mind if people want to use part of the image for their own purposes. Hopefully this makes more people able to use the image, and that it'll inspire some thought.
This is my collage about a member of the Dave Matthews Band, Stefan Lessard and his as well as the rest of the band's belief system of environmental sustainability, and protection.
I chose the attribution non-commercial license since it's OK if people use it or modify it but not profit from it because this is just a collection of related imagery and text about a central theme and not of a personal nature, hence the reason why I didn't choose no derivative. At the same time I don't like the idea of someone profiting from it since I want this to be available as a form of free expression.

I chose an attribution, non-commercial CC license. I didn't choose the no derivative option since its not personal, just about Yellowstone park so it doesn't matter if people choose to modify it. Flickr: http://www.flickr.com/photos/75254019@N02/6838030632/in/photostream
We chose to do a collage depicting the infamous events in the life of Michael Jackson. We chose an Attribution Non-Commercial CC license for the photo.
We chose Attribution, Non-Commercial, No-Derivs CC, because we don't mind if others use this collage and crediting us, but do not want it used commercially or used/changed for other works.
We did a collage about Lady Gaga and how she exemplifies individuality and creativeness. We chose Attribution-NoDerivs Creative Commons since we do not mind if others use this collage as long as they credit us.
The link to the collage is: http://www.flickr.com/photos/75256386@N08/6985212241/in/photostream
We did our collage about Ellen DeGeneres. We chose to incorporate her love of dance and animals, as well as her clothing line. Our references are in the description.
Our collage was based on Oprah and how she is a woman of power. We chose the basic creative common licensing for our photo as we do not mind if it is used for commercial purposes or if people want to repost it elsewhere.
My collage is based on something about HongKong. I chose "Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike Creative Commons" for it, since I don't wanna it be used commercially.

I chose to do my collage about brides and how it's the bride that makes the dress, not the dress that makes the bride. http://www.flickr.com/photos/76048385@N04/6841472760/in/photostream
